In Mass Effect, there are two versions of the protagonist, Commander Shepard: the male Shepard, and the female Shepard. Femshep, then, is short for "female Shepard". She has a rather unique look, and has been the subject of much fanfare. It is unknown what exactly her abilities and skills are, but it is known that she has great strength, and is capable of great feats of engineering. Her unique abilities make her a valuable asset to the team.
Her signature red hair and pretty face became very much admired throughout the first two installments of the game - Mass Effect 1 and 2. However, she debuted with a new visage when Mass Effect 3 was launched - to the outrage and disappointment of most of the fans.
This mod is created to deal with this inconsistency, exactly. It customizes the female Shepard from your ME3, bringing the default Shepard from ME1 and ME2 into your latest gameplay.
